The power went off and my Mac Desktop improperly shutdown. Upon reboot, I Parallels tries to launch Windows7, it shows 'Window7 resuming', but then I get the error that my HDD1 is corrupt and unable to connect to HDD 1. When i search for .HDD and .PVM in spotlight, they seem to be missing. When I look in /users/documents/parallels/, the folder seems to be empty.

This doesn't seem to make any sense

    Hi TWR3MBA,

    - The default location of the .pvm file will be in the Mac Documents -> Parallels -> (Virtual Machine name).pvm
    - The .pvm file will not be missing due to improper shutdown, so please check your Trash if you have accidentally moved it to the Trash.
    - Once the .pvm file is located, please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/116508

    Thanks,
    Abdul

The default locations for VMs are:
    /Users/<username>/Documents/Parallels/
    /Users/Shared/Documents/Parallels/

(the 'Shared' one is used if a VM is set to be shared among users)
