Question: 2X ApplicationServer,2003 Server and configuration

Hi.

I have a few questions. I read a lot of post in the forum, and more than i read, more confused i am :(

I have one server with 2003 Server. I install the 2X Application Server, with 5x connections free.

Now, i read that i have to configure the 2003 Server as a Terminal Server, that means i have 120 days, then, need to buy licenses. Should i install that services for the correct work of the 2X AppServer? I think only with the 2X Solution i would work. Can i install only the 2X Solution?

Now, i have installed it, without Terminal Server in the 2003. It's working, well, almost... ( http://www.2x.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2128 ). Maybe 2003 Server allows 2 connection without Terminal Server installed, that's why it seems to work. Is that?

Can anyone help me with that questions? Thanks for all.
 
Hi there..

2X ApplicationServer makes use of MS Terminal services, so yes you need to install this service too.

By default win2003 allows 2 terminal sessions when the TS Service is not installed. So this will work for the first 2 sessions

Have 2x another solution which don't need the MS Terminal Server?
