Question about Parallels Desktop Purchase

I have a question about purchasing the Parallels 10 desktop software. On some of the Amazon.com forums I see comments about the license expiring. When I purchase the software is it mine to use for forever, or is the license only valid for a certain amount of time? if there are multiple options and I'm buying the software on Amazon how can I know which version I'm purchasing?

Parallels Desktop 10 is available in two options. One is a subscription purchase that you'll have to purchase annually and in that you'll be applicable for a free upgrade if an upgraded version is launched during your subscription period. Second option is by purchasing a life time product. Its price is $79.99 and in that you'll have to purchase an upgrade if it is available later. But once again in the second option, purchasing an upgrade is optional. Its your choice to upgrade or not. However we would suggest you to stay with the latest version always as most of the latest features will be available in it.
