I used Parallels transporter to import a VMware Windows XP virtual machine. The startup of the VM at login is very slow in Parallels - it takes almost 60 seconds. I've been trying to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. I saw one post about using "msconfig" in Windows to diagnose the problem. While using "msconfig" I did see that there were a number of drivers still present from VMware, so I disabled them and tried rebooting. Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem of slow startup of Windows. I was wondering why Parallels didn't disable these drivers when the VM was transported. But I'm still trying to figure out why the startup times are so slow. Any ideas would be appreciated.
