questions about optimization

i have a few questions about a couple of things i have noticed:

1. what is the purpose of the *.mem file within the vitual machine and can i disable it?
2. can i completely disable logging or change the log level?
 
The mem file contains the contents of the VM's memory, is updated every few minutes or so, and - as far as I know - is used when you put the VM to sleep resp. wake it up. Disabling / locking the file will cause your VM to crash.
I don't know where you can modify the log level.
 
are there any plans to investigate this? i'm sure you know that SSDs suffer from performance issues when all free cells have been written to. i'm not sure of the reason for this file since windows keeps its own hibernate file so i imagine you mean it's specific for the "PAUSE" and "SUSPEND" options in parallels.

perhaps an option to disable this file which would also disable pausing and suspending the VM?

something to think about for optimizing on SSDs since that seems to be the direction apple is headed.
