Quicken for Windows Installation

I am trying to install Quicken for Windows but when I insert the CD into the CD drive on my Mac, I can't get Windows to recognize the CD and therefore I can't install Quicken.

An earlier post suggested going into the devices list in the Control Panel for Windows and selecting the "Real" CD/DVD Drive. However, mine only shows a Virtual CD/DVD drive and I have no option for selecting "Real".

Would appreciate any help. I suppose this issue not only applies to installing Quicken but any software.

Click on the Virtual Machine in the top Mac menu bar > Configure > Hardware > CD ROM and point it to your "real" CD ROM. The difference here is that you were trying to do that from inside Windows, but it should be done on the Virtual Machine level.
