Quiet startup? = Avoid Parallels stealing focus after start of Windows

I know it's luxury....
To have both Mac and Windows running on the same computer without much trouble. Thanks Parallels!! :)

I work within PR and to be honest ... Mac is enough. But sometimes I need to try things out in Windows to see how my work is represented in this .. other operating system :)

So I start Parallels and Windows, and while Windows boots up I want to go back to work on my Mac.
BUT, after 2 seconds Parallels gets a bit annoying, cause first the Windows window 'captures' focus.
THEN 15 - 30 seconds later, Parallels steals focus again when the screen maximises to full.
.... any way this could happen ... sort of quietly and non-intrusive?

I can't find any setting within Parallels GUI, perhaps there's another way?

Any input would be nice, :)

Hello jakobjoergensen,
It feels like your Windows VM is starting in FullScreen mode during every startup.
You can always change the startup view based on your need.
This setting affects the Windows view mode only when you open Windows from the Parallels - Virtual Machines list. If you start Windows by opening a Windows program, it always starts in Coherence view.
From the Startup View menu > choose Coherence (or) Window, Full Screen, Modality or Same as last time.

@Pradeep - I'm sorry, "don't use parallels in one of the ways we designed it to be used" is not an answer.
I contacted Parallels support and they gave me this solution, which seems to have worked:
In OSX:
1. Open System preferences
2. Click Mission Control
3. Deselect "When switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application."
4. close system preferences

Parallels hasn't grabbed focus since I did this a couple of days ago. Fingers crossed.
