My MacbookPro runs with 16GB ram. In Parallels desktop 9 I can only allocate 8GB of that ram to my windows simulation. While working in windows (which I do most of the time) I only run Parallels and Firefox. Everything else is done in windows.
So the question is, how do I allocate more than 8GB ram to my windows given that the slider doesn't go any further than 8GB?
Also, with 16GB, how much ram can I safely allocate to windows without suffering performance issue due to capping the host OS? Would my OS x suffice with only 4GB or does it require more to run smoothly?
