RDP will only work on one router - please help!!

hi, sorry if this is a dumb question

I want to use RDP over a local network with no internet connection. android tablet to win 7 pro laptop

i have home network, with an internet connection, and RDP works fine over that - with or without the internet connection

i bought a new router for the non-internet connection and i can't get RDP to work over the new router, with or without the internet connected to this new router.

actually i tried with several routers - i can only RDP to my laptop over the original home network router.

yes.., i have made a new connection in the 2X android client, with the IP# of my laptop on the new router, obtained by doing ipconfig after i connect to the router

the new connection keeps saying it can't find the computer

every thing appears the same in the new connection except the IP#

Did you check the firewall settings for that particular network? When you connect a new network, the firewall typically asks you to identify if the network is a home, work, or public one.

Particularly, check that port 3389 is open for that particular network.
