Re-mapping default keyboard shortcuts

Hi,

Am running Build 6.0.12094 on iMac and running VM with XP & Office 2007. I wish to re-map certain keyboard shortcuts for example: ctrl & z (undo) to cmd & z, I am doing this via the preference panel keyboard profile window but whatever boxes I tick / untick or even generating a custom shortcut does not work? The original ctrl & Z is not overwritten?

Any help or guidance is appreciated, thanks.

I have the same problem after upgrading to build 6.0.12094 except I have over ten macs in an office that don't convert the mac shortcut keys.

This is how I rectified the issue:

Reset the keyboard preferences to default & re-installed parallel tools.

Check if the assistive devices is enabled ->System preferences -> Universal access.

Failing that enable Optimize modifier keys for games under virtual machineconfiguration.

I also rebooted VM during these processes.

This doesn't resolve my problem. Mac keystrokes still wont work. Selecting text and pressing cmd + c to copy it results in a letter c replacing the selected text as it no modifier key was press down.
