Reclaiming Boot Camp Partition Space after migrating to Parallels

Two more related details I meant to ask...
...Parallel's documentation implies that everything installed in the partition will come along for the ride when migrating from Boot Camp to virtualization in Parallels.....
...so wondering if that includes
1) Windows as installed/activated/configured/updated, etc....
2) and any Win Apps and utilities (e.g., anti-malware) installed there as well?

I feel you are just asking the same question with different words again out of insecurity.

If you choose the option to "Import Windows and your data from Boot Camp into Parallels Desktop" (in the KB you posted), the Bootcamp partition is then 'cloned' to a Virtual Disk (one or more files in OS X that encapsulate the Windows partition, hence, ALL THAT WAS/IS IN IT).

But, if you are unsure about the procedure, just backup your Windows installation, also, after importing and before deleting the Bootcamp partition you should make sure everything is working correctly.

Nailed... :rolleyes: ...I thought I'd done all my research before installing via Boot Camp (and I did a lot), but still managed to "outsmart" myself and made too small a partition to allow room to install for the main apps I need Windows for... ...even after consulting various sites... ...which is one reason I'm feeling migrating to Parallels is my best course from the box canyon I'm in without going through 175 Win updates and config hassles... ...or taking a chance on trashing my Mac by using Paragon's tool to repartition the space on the fly...

...so yeah, feeling insecure for sure and trying to avoid screwing up again.

And the answer's much appreciated. I now expect to download Parallels today and give it a go - and will likely do so after watching more of the tutorial vids and cracking the user manual a bit more....
 
I can also suggest Winclone, which is an utility to completely clone Boot camp partitions. You can, for instance make a copy with winclone, delete the bc partition create a new one (bigger) and restore your copy.
