I was updating our 2X Active Directory Template and noticed some differences in the registry keys for v4.3.

What happened to the DisableOption, and Needlogon Current User Keys?

What do the "UseClientColors", "UseClientSettings", "SetupTimeHigh" and "SetupTimeLow" actually do?

What do the DisableOptions, and DisablePwd options do under the Local Machine Keys?

Also, I know there has been a local machine 2x location since v4, but have been unclear how it is used. Do keys these follow the usual patern where the Local Machine keys over-ride any user based settings?

Thanks for any clarification you can give.

    Needlogon has been removed.

DisableOption is now only found under the Local machine and this value applies to all users. DISABLEOPTIONS: To disable the Options button and hide the options to configure the client settings. This option can be applied to users without administrative rights.

DISABLESAVEPASSWORD: To disable the clients from saving the
password. This option is ignored with users with administrative rights.

    USECLIENTCOLORS: Use client system colors.
USELCIENTSETTINGS: Use client system settings (border size, fonts, etc).

SetupTimeHigh & SetupTimeLow work with OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS: To override the user settings with client MSI settings.

When a new user executes the application for the first time or OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS is set, settings are obtained from the local machine once and each user will then keep his own settings stored under the current user.

    Nixu.

PS, Most of the above information is found in the user manual.
