Parallels is telling me the following: configuration of this boot camp virtual machine doesn't match that o the real boot camp partition, Try to let this virtual machine and then create a new boot camp virtual machine from scratch.

I can find online how to delete the virtual machine. However, when I search for ways to install / reinstall a virtual machine all I find is directions on how to install with the windows disk etc. I am hoping not to have to go through all that. Is there a way to create a new virtual machine from parallels without going from scratch?

  2. Hi, you can transfer hard drive from the existing virtual machine to the new one using this KB article.
Or start the clean install on you existing VM.
But it will be much better to install new VM from .iso or USB or disk.

you can do it using an operating system installation CD or DVD disc or an image of such an installation disc or a Boot Camp partition. still you can specify installation resource later and continue without the disc. but not quite sure what will happen in this case. good luck
