Run Mac Apps from VM

Is there a way to start a Mac program from the Windows XP VM? I am looking to "pass" a photo from a catalog program (idImager) in XP to a photo editor (Nikon Capture NX or Adobe CS2) in OS X by right clicking on the thumnail and using the "Open with" command.

Well...

You could write a shell script that telnets into OSX, and uses "open" to open up the app. Would even be double-clickable from within windows.
