Run script when VM starts/suspends/shuts down/resumes

Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to execute scripts, on the host machine, when a virtual machine changes state.
For example, I would like to execute a script on my mac when a virtual machine starts.
I've been searching but haven't found any information on this.
I'm using Parallels Desktop for Mac (8.0.18354).

11 years later... I came here looking for this.. I don't suppose such a trigger exists?
