Running mac OS Sierra 10.12.3 with Parallel 12.1.1

I've used parallel before, but recently installed the recent update on Mac. Now I can't seem to run Parallel. Refer to the attachment to see what happens when I open windows explorer. It's asking me if I want to update Parallel to the latest version, will this fix my problem?

As long as you have not deleted your vm (.pvm file) and just changed their location. You should be able to find it following these directions.

You can locate the pvm and open it with Parallels Desktop to resolve the issue. You can also refer the article shared by kat to find the pvm file.
