Running Palia (Steam) on v.19

I'm on an M1 - Sonoma 14.6.1
Installed the free trial of Parallels - was awesome. everything worked perfectly until I went to actually play the game Palia from Steam.
The graphics flickered pretty bad.
I've tried researching for fixes and only came across a couple of them which didn't resolve the flickering.
The one solution I did see was someone who downgraded their version of Parallels to an earlier version (v.17) which seemed to fix their problem.
I have heard of other fixes using other software but looking at the instructions was extremely confusing. I opted out of that.
Any help or suggesting before my trial finishes in 12 days?
