Hello. We need to run 32bit applications on Windows on our Macs. We had no issue doing that with older Macs, but we're having issues with M1 Macs. Do you know if we can use Parallels on M1 MacBook Pros to either install Windows 32 bit or to virtualize a 32bit machine?
Hey @ImryH, please share more details about the issues you experience with the M1 Mac. Windows 11 or Arm that runs on Apple M1 Mac is capable of running thousands of 32-bit Windows applications that were initially developed for Intel-based systems. Alas, running x86-based (aka Intel-based) Windows OS on a Mac with Apple silicon is currently not supported.
Yeah, I think it won't be possible. This software really can't run on anything besides a 32bit version of Windows. Until I can install that (or nest virtualize that) on a M1/M2 Mac, I'll just have to use a PC. Thanks.
It's called StatCrew. It's used by Colleges and Universities in the USA to score sporting events. Don't laugh - but it's DOS based.
