Saving the arrangement of icons on the desktop

I feel VERY the need to be able to save the arrangement of the icons on the desktop.
Not infrequently it happens that for whatever reason the icons on the desktop lose their arrangement in which I had placed them. I have a lot of icon on the desktop. Then, with a lot of patience, I have to reposition them one by one as they were before. I would like to be able to restore their layout with a simple click.
