Sequoia Desktop Files hidden

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone else has seen this. Since updating to Sequioa (currently on 15.0.1) my desktop files get hidden intermittently. An Apple discussion thread indicates that its related to Windows file explorer properties although doesn't appear to be cause for me. If I run my Windows 11 VM, straight after the files disappear (hidden) but usually after an overnight sleep they return.

Hints?

I'm seeing this as well. I was able to follow someone elses instructions to bring them back but they vanish again, and back again later.
The link below is where I saw this discussed and the thing that's helped most (but not been a permanent solution) is from Anteiku07.
Would love to find a permanent solution to this.
