Serious Problem with Parallels and Windows 10

Dear All,
I am having a serious problem with Parallels.
I was getting 'Parallels Toolbox installation paused while Windows updates' message on logging in to Win 10. Investigating I found some uninstalled updates to Win10 that needed a restart. I restarted and now I have this message and no keyboard, no mouse and am generally unable to access my VM.
Is there a solution for this? If I try to suspend the VM in parallels it tells me that Windows is still updating and I shouldn't do this. What is going on?

No, that didn't work - the Mac home folder is in the same place it always was and the option to reinstall parallels toolbox was greyed out. At the third go round of reinstalling the VM from backup and just waiting the Windows updates finally installed and all is working now. Thanks.
