Setup Error??

Trying to install parallels for first time and I am getting the following error message.

'Error has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing one of the components windows needs to continue. Setup could not be installed, incorrect funtion.

Installation failed. D:\1386\asms
Error message: Incorrect Function


I am using a MBP with 2 GB Ram and 11.47 free hard drive space.

Help??
 
No one seen this before?? Any suggestions, should I delete Parrallels and start over??

I have tried bootcamp, but it would not partition my hard drive, it told me to repair it using disk utility, which I did but still didn't work.
 
Hello wattage,

I suspect your CD is corrupted.
Please do the following:
1. Copy any files from CD to your Mac's hard drive (if you can't - CD is corrupted)
2. Make iso image of your CD with Parallels Image Tool and install Windows from this iso.
