I can open any file on the mac in Xp be going through the "hole"

Users\hughw36\ << my stuff ( i do log on to my own new computers - i create a guest account for other users to keep them from installing silly htings or deleting my stuff)
Desktop\sitemap.html << is an html doc saved on the Mac OS desktop
this connection to .mac folder was broken on the second beta upgrade
but by uninstalling parallels tools before upgarding paralles to Beat 3
the (virtual) network folder connection got repaired
so when I save stuff I keep my master copies in the virtual network folder which keeps my disk images smaller and leaner
and if I mess up a parallels installation my data is still useable from the macintosh until I open a clone or make new one
I am on about number seven now
I really ought to back up the network folder to the external hard drive too
one of the items is a 6000 names plus database built up over 5 years of research
