Shares without drive letters

Is there a way to share folders from the Host OS without resorting to the mapped drives? I abandoned mapped drive letters for Network Places a decade ago, and Network Places work great in Parallels as well. I just don't want the automatically mapped drive letters there cluttering up the already overly busy Windows Explorer UI. I have searched for a setting in Parallels Preferences and in the VM Options and found nothing.

The only way to access Mac folders from Windows is to use Parallels Shared folders. Parallels Shared folders are mapped Network folders. Sorry - there is no other option.
