Sharing files between mac and windows [via parallels]

I have my Parallel installed on my mac and got my Windows installed properly and working.
I thought after the installation of Windows in parallel there is going to be a place where I can share/transfer file between parallel and mac. But on my Windows, there isn't such option.
Before purchasing parallel, I wanted to buy it because it has this application/ability to share files instantly between parallel and mac.
Can someone tell me what's wrong with my parallel? I need to get this thing working!

um.. do any of you guys have the folder to share files between mac and windows..?
Yes.:)

Did you install Parallels Tools?

Did you create a shared folder in the VM? The VM must be stopped when you do this.
Go to File -> Edit Configuration

Well.........

With your VM shutdown, click on edit, then click on 'Shared Folders'

On the right part of the window you will see an empty list with a + and - at the bottom of it.

Click on + and select the folder you want to share.

Keep doing this until you have all the folders shared you want/need.

Personally I have 3-4 folders I constantly use so these are shared, I also share my Documents folder and Disk so that I can get to any folder if I need to and finally I share my Mac Desktop.

As A tip I have shortcuts for all of these on my XP Desktop so they are very easy to get too from any file dialog.

Cheers.
