Sharing Win Apps between Win XP and Win 8

I have Win XP installed under Parallels 8 for Mac with a number of customised Windows applications. Having now also installed the Windows 8 I cannot "see" the applications I use in Windows XP. Is this possible and how do I go about it? Or do I have to reinstall all the apps in Windows 8?
 
Installation of Windows8, just as it was with Windows7, over top of XP
will completely wipe the XP install. This is the way Microsoft has decided
it should be.

You will need to reinstall everything, assuming it is still compatible with
Win8.

I have BOTH Win XP and Win 8 installed separately in Parallels. In Win XP I can still access all the apps (Word, Excel ext) but I don't seem to be able to access them when I am in Win 8.

Win 8 was a new install and not over anything else.
