Shift key doesn't work in Parallels 6

I just upgraded to Parallels 6 for the Mac and now, when running Windows XP (and Mac OS 10.6.4), the shift key does not work on the initial keystroke. It does, however, work on the second keystroke. Has anybody else noticed this, and any idea what is causing it?

Have you tried "Optimize keys for Gaming"
Perhaps this would give you a better response...?
