should i download 3.0 after purchasing the upgrade

I've just purchased the Parallels Desktop for Mac upgrade online.

Should I download the 3.0 by myself then enter the activation key I received?

Or, will i receive the download link for the upgrade version?

I'd like to know the same thing. The FAQ says I'll get an e-mail "as soon as" 3.0 goes GA. It's GA, but I haven't yet seen any e-mails.
 
The quickest way to get the upgrade is to download it from the main Download link here. Install it and enter your activation key. I expect they might get around to sending you an email, but I'm sure it will just contain a link to the same software you can get here and now.

The download link is at the top of this page. No reason not to download it immediately.
