Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be---

    Scenario
Imac with fusion drive running Sierra 10.12.4, Parallels desktop for mac 12.2.0 Trying to install Sierra from recovery partition (File >>>new>>>Install from recovery partition). Virtual machine of about 350 MB is created. Then in VM get Mac startup screen for awhile then prohibited sign (circle with line through it)
No error messages, nothing. I do have recovery partition on host. Could this be a parallels - fusion drive issue?

    Hi RaymondK2,
We would like to know is this the first time you are trying to create a macOS X VM from the recovery partition and if possible create a problem report id after recreating the issue then share it with us.

Installing from recovery partition is not possible with fusion drive. I'd suggest to download the Install.app for Sierra from appstore and install guest using downloaded image (it is possible to point New VM wizard to the install.app or drug-n-drop the install.app to the new vm wizard at the source image selection screen)
