Since upgrading to Windows 10 I have no internet connection

I have Parallels 11 running on El Capitan. Initially I installed Windows 10 but it was not activated by my previous Windows 7 installation.
The first installation of Windows 10 worked well, with internet access, however, I deleted that virtual machine and upgraded via Windows 7. Since then I have been unable to get internet access, I have tried everything I could find, including reinstalling Parallels Tools, without success.
What I don't understand is that my Nod32 antivirus updates itself, so it must be doing this over the net somehow, so how is it that I cannot get an internet connection?
Any help would be appreciated.
