Hi to the forum. I recently upgraded to the latest version of Parallels 11 ( version 11.1.0 ) and upgraded my Windows 7 to version 10. This is running on a Mac with OS 10 Yosemite. Not willing to go to el Capitan yet.
The upgrade to Windows 10 went well. Kaspersky froze when updating the databases so I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. This has solved the problem. Some of my programs run ok but overall performance is slower than before with Windows programs ( no change in the Mac side ). About half of my Windows programs are now so slow as to be unusable. These are mostly shareware astronomy programs designed to handle large video files. Commercial packages like Corel Photopaint, Microsoft Office, and Sketchup eventually run ok but take absolutely forever to boot up. Sometimes they start and display the menu line at the top of the screen but nothing in the main area of the screen.
I usually run Windows in coherence mode. Running directly in Windows does not seem to help the performance issue. Anybody else having this problem? Any fixes that are known?
Thanks
Don
