Slow Start Up

This is driving me crazy. Whenever I start up Parallels (W7 on SL) there is a lot of drive activity taking place which goes on for several minutes. During this time both W7 and SL are very slow and unresponsive with the spining ball at the cursor.

Is this anything to do with Kasperski scanning? Does enyone else experience this issue?

Are you running the recent version 5.0.9344? In this version was fixed a similar looking problem

Installed this today, but I don't see any improvement as the drive is still running as before, applications may open a bit quicker!
