Snapshot Manager Thumbnails in Parallels 9

I have just switched to Parallels 9 from Parallels 8 (been using Parallels since Parallels 5). I find the Snapshots Manager hard to navigate, as the thumbnails are enormous. I can't view my tree of snapshots very well, despite having just upgraded to a new iMac with a higher resolution (2560x1440) than my previous machine (1920x1200). Is there a way I can make the thumbnails smaller, or get rid of the thumbnails altogether?

Hi Mag_Parallels,

Please find that steps below to remove Thumbnails in Snapshot manager :

1. Locate your Virtual machine in Finder.(To locate VM in Finder http://kb.parallels.com/117333)

2. Right click on the *.pvm file of your virtual machine -> choose Show Package Contents

3. In Mac OS X, go to Applications > Utilities and launch Terminal. Type the following but do not execute:

prl_disk_tool merge --hdd

4. Drag the *.hdd file into Terminal and drop it right next to "prl_disk_tool merge --hdd ". In Terminal you will see something like this:

prl_disk_tool merge --hdd /Users/Username/Documents/Parallels/Windows\ 7.pvm/Windows\ 7-0.hdd

Note: There should be a space between '--hdd' and 'Users/Username...'

5. Press Enter/Return key to run the command and merge the snapshots.

6. At the same directory (inside Virtual Machine's bundle) delete Snapshots.xml file

Shrink or get rid of snapshot thumbnails but KEEP Snapshots

Hi Manoj D,

I don't want to merge all my snapshots or get rid of my snapshot tree, that would be catastrophic for my purposes. I absolutely need them for work.

I want to be able to browse through my snapshots without having to scroll a ridiculous amount. I want more thumbnails to fit per screen area, like it used to in previous versions of Parallels.

Surely there's some setting somewhere, where I can set the display size of those thumbnails?
