Some questions before i buy the software.

hi guys,
I'm still in the experience with the software and I want to know a few things:
1. I installed yesterday windows 7. When I've updated win Through windows update, I was informed that I was out of place. (I had 69 GB If I'm not mistaken) Anyway, I saw a guide to how to increase memory and indeed I increased to 100.
The question is the 100 giga Where they are taken from? Is from my External Hard Disk where I have a space? or from my main HD (that come with my Mac) where I only have 256 GB SSD?
2. Are all needed to update windows?
3.How do I set that Word document/exel that I have a Mac will open directly in office?

1. Increasing Virtual hard disk space will increase in .pvm bundle. It means, you need to check where the .pvm bundle is located, by default all virtual machines are stored in /Documents/Parallels or in /Users/Shared/Parallels
2. Yes, we recommend you to update Windows.
3. Please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/114124 to open files located on the Mac with Windows applications.
