Hi,

This new beta (3036) has finally allowed me to connect my P990i phone via USB and use the PC Suite from SE. So Windows XP SP2 now recognises my phone ok.

But when I run the SEUS it gets to the point where it tries to detect your phone, and quickly reports that it cannot detect it.

The SEUS works fine with an identical configuration of XP on a native PC.

Has anyone got this working?

I have a K880i and two of its predecessors
my experience of the SE suite in various versions was that it is unreliabale and difficult to use over USB

my MacBook pro and blue tooth built in to OS 10.4.8 do eveything i ask

I just browse device
from the menu bar - after settting up blue tooth preferences and arranging the phone and puter to recognise each other


dowloading 83 big pictures at about 20 secs each (often daily) takes its time
so i do something else while it is being done

i view them all in Preview
before uploading some or all to my blogs

On my old XP system i had a good utility from china

when I have some spare cash I will get a memory card for the phone and use USB cad reader

what do you actually want to do with your phone?

What I want to do is ... run the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) - which updates the firmware in the phone. This you -must- do with USB. It is a separate application to the PC Suite.

Using the PC Suite itself (apart from Backup) is not so important ... though seems to work fine now over USB with latest Parallels Beta. I' m not -so- interested in browsing the device etc.

Can it work in Parallels?

still not working

i still can't get SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) to work with the latest and greatest PD version (build 3188).

my w600i using a DCU-60 cable booted correctly with "C" key held down connects to XP as the Sony Ericsson USB Flash Device as it should, but as soon as SEUS 2.7.4.8 (self-updated from a 2.6.11.7 installer) connects, it reverts to a USB mass storage device :(

i'll try email support from parallels, but i'm none too optimistic...

Still no PC-Suite for my P990...

Hi,

With the lates build (3188), I still can't make my P990 wotk with the sony ericsson PC Suite.

In Windows, the P990 is well viewed, but not in PC-Suite.

But... If I witch the Phone to "Mass Storage mode", then I see it in PC-Suite too, but still can't do any sort of backup...

Any idea ?
 
hi all,

i just wanted to report that i've successfully used SEUS to update my p990i under parallels 3188 running win xp pro on my C2D MBP.

in addition, the pc suite works under parallels as well. :)
