Parallels Tools for Mac installs two drivers to support audio for at least Parallels Desktop 6 or 7 virtual machines (I didn't check older versions): AppleIntelAC97Audio.kext AppleIntelAC97Controller.kext You can see what Parallels Tools installs by mounting the prl-tools-mac.iso disk image, and opening Install.mpkg with a utility like Pacifist.
