Space key doesn't work

Updated to Sierra and space key doesn't work on Parallels.
was guided to upgrade to Parallels 12 so I did so by paying 50 bucks.
Still my space key doesn't work.
Any solutions?

Please adjust the virtual machine configuration as below
1. Make sure the virtual machine is in shut down state.
2. Open virtual machine configuration.
3. Switch to Hardware tab > Mouse & Keyboard > set Mouse to "Don't Optimize for games" & vice versa
