Spell Check in Word

When running Word (Pro 2003) in XP Pro SP2 I am trying to right-click on words that it's spell-checker catches and I can't. I get a message pop-up window (it says "Make a Selection first") when I ctrl-click on the word I want to fix the spelling on.

Happens in Outlook as well - but that is when using Word as my email editor - so I suspect it is Word that is the problem.

Can anyone else confirm or provide a workaround?
 
This was fixed in RC for my MBP 17". Ctrl-click doesn't work any more, but holding 2 fingers on the trackpad while clicking now simulates right-click and works in Word.
