Hi -

I work in the IT department at Boston University, and over the last couple of months, we've purchased three MacBook Pros for staff members and installed Parallels on them.

In all three cases, after a couple weeks of normal use, the users reported that they were seeing a spinning beach ball at the login screen when trying to select their username.

While troubleshooting, we received kernal panics every time we attempted to boot up to the Mac OS disk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are running Build 5160, and have 2 GB of RAM on each computer, with 1 GB set for Parallels.

Could you send me kernal panics logs?
Hard Drive -> Library -> Logs

panic log

These are the panic logs from the other night. We were on the phone with Parallels support, and they said that Parallels was responsible for one of the panics but maybe not the other. When we ejected the Mac OS install disk, the computer was able to boot - but we still got the spinning ball. With the disk in, the computer would panic before even getting to the login screen.
