Stateless Window Mode

I would love a method to run a Parallels VM in the background, without a need for a user to be logged on in Mac OS X on the console.

Paired with a stateless connection window to that VM (a la Remote Desktop but better integrated), this would do a lot for stability.
 
So, you want to start Parallels as a GUI-less system process, and not a user process, correct?

I have a strong suspicion that this is coming in Parallels Server.
 
Doesn't have to be a system process. I just don't want to have to log in at the console to start a VM. And I don't want the VM to stop/freeze just because I close the window.

Hiding the Parallels window or moving it to another space is not nearly as safe as disconnecting from the VM would be.

Parallels server will probably offer the feature, but I think it would be very useful for the workstation/desktop version as well.
 
I have, but it suspends in a matter of seconds, and then I click it again, it opens up. Typically my total time taken is < 1 minute

Greater than one minute can be a lot. Sometimes restoring a VM takes up to ten minutes (for some reason). A warning dialogue might be in order.

Either way, a stateless window would be the better solution, despite the fact that it is _also_ useful in a server version.
