Stop VM applications showing up in Spotlight

    Hello Lee4, please follow the below steps and keep us posted:
    1. Open System preferences -> click on Spotlight -> switch to Privacy section -> click the + to add a new location, and navigate to your Applications folder. In there you should find folders titled something like "Windows 7 or Windows 10 Applications" for Windows VM you're running.
    2. Add those folders to the "Prevent" list in Spotlight and you should be able to use Spotlight to access only Mac applications.

    What I did was to:
    1. Remove all items from the /Users/<myusername>Application (Parallels) folder
    2. Change permissions of the /Users/<myusername>Application (Parallels) folder such that no one can write to it
    So far, it seems to be working.
