Stopping a Download

I have started downloading Ubuntu from within the "New Virtual Machine" window but now I don't wish to continue.

However, I see no way to stop it and every time I restart Parallels it still keeps trying to download Ubuntu and I cannot stop it. I can pause it but not stop it.

Is there a way to permanently stop Parallels from trying to download an OS that you have started downloading in the "New Virtual Machine" window?

It should be very easy I would have thought but I'm not up to the task.

PS: I found the right click menu that includes a "Remove" option. This temporarily removes the download but as soon as I start Parallels again the download returns.

Patience is a virtue. After using the "Remove" option again and then a cold restart of the Mac the download has gone away.

Problem solved.
