Strange folders in my user folder after installing Parallels

Hello Forum,

I have Parallels 7 installed on my Mac with OS X 10.6.8 and I am just noticing that I have two strange folders in my (OS X) user folder - one being called just "+" and one being called "Applications (Parallels)". The +-Folder contains an Alias to my (Mac) Applications folder and a Folder "Windows 7 Applications" with more than hundred Windows application files in it. The "Applications (Parallels)" contains only a "Windows 7 Applications" folder, again with more than hundred Windows application files in it. The "Applications (Parallels)"-Folder is newer than the "+"-Folder (possibly because the "+"-Folder is still from Parallels 6 times?).

Can I delete these folders or one of these folders? Are these folder somewhere explained in the Parallels manual?

The +-Folder contains an Alias to my (Mac) Applications folder

You can make an alias for a Windows program on the Mac OS X desktop, then double-click it anytime to open the program.
To make an alias for a Windows program on the Mac OS X desktop:

• Select the program in the Finder and choose File > Make Alias. Then drag the alias icon to the desktop.
Program Icon in the Dock
When you open a Windows program, its icon appears in the Mac OS X Dock at the bottom of the screen. By default when you close the program, the icon disappears from the Dock. Keeping a program's icon in the Dock provides a quick way to open the program anytime.

To keep a Windows program's icon in the Dock, do one of the following:-

• Right-click or Control-click the Windows program icon in the Dock and choose Keep in Dock from the shortcut menu.
• Drag the program's icon from the Finder to the Dock.
Now you can open the program again anytime by clicking the icon in the Dock.

Applications (Parallels),"Windows 7 Applications" folder

The Applications folder you are referring to holds applications that are installed only for the current user, in this case, you.

can't say anything about "+" folder - can you please tell me the exact creating date? i think you are right and it is from Parallels 6.
Applications (Parallels) are here to make you able to access Windows application on Mac side even if windows is stopped - and it makes you able to assign particular Windows application to work as default for particular file extension.
