Stuck updating Parallels Tools at 37%

I am running Parallels 20 on a 2022 Air M2. Has been working fine. Today I selected shutdown and update. It has been stuck on updating Parallels Tools for an hour. I force quit. Restart parallels tools and it displays the 37% screen again.
I searched through the forum but didn't find an answer to this. What do I do next? Thanks.

 

Today I encountered this exact problem on June 22, 2026.

Running the latest brand new version of Parallels on an Intel iMac Pro. After Parallels itself updated, the Parallels Tools update froze at 37% for more than an hour and obviously is completely non-responsive.

What does Tech Support recommend to do to move forward until this bug is fixed?
