Sudden Boot Problem

I have a problem now booting my Vista virtual machine. Unless I boot in Safe Mode, I get a BSOD. Examined the dumpfile and discover the problem is with watchdog.sys. What might the problem be? I do NOT have the problem when I boot Vista in Boot Camp.
