Suddenly windows responds incorrectly to keyboard

Using Windows 10 and Parallels 13
I can be working in Windows using Visual Studio and Chrome and suddenly the keys pressed are not responded to correctly and things like Word and PowerPoint open up in safe mode. The only resolution I have found is to reboot windows. It is most frustrating when this happens.
I have searched the forum and have not found any posts that are similar
 
I think you need to identify if this is Windows or Parallels.
Get a Windows program that tells you the scancodes being received. 'CheckScanCode' for example. Note down the scancodes when it is OK. Then when it goes wrong, try again. If the scancodes are still the same, then your problem is in Windows not Parallels. Some add-ons can cause this in Windows.
