After updating Parallels to version 19.1.1 on my 2019 MacBook Pro with Sonoma, my computer now attempts to boot from the Virtual Machine, leading to a halt at a blue screen. To access my Mac's disk, I need to manually select the drive using the option key. Does anyone have any insights or suggestions on this issue?

You might try Parallels Desktop >Config Button>Hardware>Boot Order
Mine shows, in order: HD; CD/DVD; External device
Mine are greyed-out w/notice that some settings cannot be changed until the Virtual machine is shut down. I have not attempted that.
If that doesn't work you will prob have to approach from the Mac Preferences; I don't have a clue on that one.
    good Luck!
