Switching from Mac desktop to VM full screen

On my MBP 15" I have XP running in full resolution - 1440x900
If I choose a smaller window to run it on my MBP desktop, when i switch to full screen, any open windows get moved to other position and are resized.
Anyone have a clue how I can maintain different layouts on either screen??

Go to Windows Control Panel for Displays and change the setting. If you cannot find 1440 x 900 uncheck the "hide unsupported resolutions" checkbox.
