Taskbar in Coherence sometimes not.

I have installed Ver. 5584 and in this version as well as the last there are certain things (e.g. like changing from single screen to coherence mode and back) where the Windows Taskbar stays visible at the bottom of the screen. How or what is it that I need to do that will make it not visible at all when I am in coherence mode. Or is this a bug?

Hello,

when you run in the Coherence mode, please, go to Parallels Desktop top menu->Applications->Hide Windows Taskbar. Thus you will have no Windows Taskbar on the screen but the Start menu will be still available from the Dock.

Thanks for the reply...but the problem is that when I go into coherence mode the taskbar is already there. So when I go to the Parallels desktop icon, click to Applications the choices are "Show Windows Taskbar" not "Hide Windows Taskbar" . It seems Parallels doesn't know it's open. I can click "Show" and then "Hide" and it goes away but it happens every time I go into Coherence mode??

please, try to reinstall Parallels Tools then. Will the issue still exist?

please, do the following:
browse to your VM folder, find the .pvs file, open it with Text Edit. Then, find in the text block marked [Coherence] and in the string "Show taskbar in Coherence" please set 0 instead of 1.
