Notting an article from Macworld https://apple.news/Ahz9VjsZcSm2Cn7qAGcf2oA is seems that certain macOS guest systems cannot be run on the latest generation of Mac's (M4).

For those of us running macOS 12 in virtual machines utilising Parallels Desktop I wonder what will happen with support for running these on Parallels Desktop on M3 and older hardware?
I'm planning to keep an old Apple Silicon Mac around to run the older macOS version through Parallels Desktop but questions for the future need to be answered to help with hardware choices. Theoretically if Apple updated the hypervisor for M1 Mac's in a future update we could even find VMs broken after a significant macOS upgrade.

It would be helpful is Parallels and Apple could make a combined statement on future compatibility for legacy guest macOS versions; I might even buy a newer Mac based on this.
